Anika Noni, an American performer and singer. She is most famous for her role as Tiana Disney's her first African American Princess in The Princess and the Frog. She was recognized as an official Disney Legend. Rose played Lorrell Robertson on Dreamgirls, which won an Academy Award. Anika Noni Rose (born on the 6th September 1973) is an American actor and singing. The most famous of her roles was her performance as Tiana Ariel, the princess of Disney, who was the first African American Princess in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in the year 2011. She also has a starring role, as Lorrell Robinson in Dreamgirls (2007) that was nominated for an Academy Award. And she plays LaVerne jukebox Ganner on Starz's series Power. Alongside her acting work, she's famous for the roles she was in the theatre. This includes Emmie Thibodeaux, who played the Broadway adaptation of Caroline or Change (2005) for which the Tony Award Best Features Actress in A Musical was awarded and Beneatha on the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun (2017) in which she received she received the Tony Award Best Features Actress in Play nominations were announced.
